As the Titanic sank to the depths of the ocean on April 14, 1912 a survivor now known as the Unsinkable Molly Brown played a role in saving many lives.  We salute her passionate spirit, her zest for adventure, and her sense of style.

The men and women of The Unsinkable Krewe of Molly Brown enjoy year-round cultural events, krewe activities and parade season.  The Krewe is active with the charities Post 9/11 Veterans and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Tampa Bay, plus many other local charitable organizations.

Our Krewe parade float depicts the sinking Titanic ship complete with the four smokestacks, two masts, and lifeboats on each side of the float.  A large iceberg is featured on the front of the float with various luggage sizes incorporated into the design. Smaller icebergs are featured on each side of the float. Our float has been selected 7 times as the Grand Prize Champion for the Gasparilla Parade of Pirates. The Grand Prize Champion win parade years are the 2004 Centennial Gasparilla celebration and again in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2017, the "Molly" float is truly magnificent.  Krewe members parade in costumes reminiscent of the costumes worn in the movie "Titanic". Krewe members parade in honor of a person who lived or perished with the sinking of the Titanic. Some members wear day attire while other members may wear evening  attire.  And everyone wears a hat, the Krewe's signature accessory!
