About Us The Unsinkable Krewe of Molly Brown honors the Titanic's most famous survivor, Molly Brown. As the Titanic sank to the depths of the ocean on April 14, 1912 a survivor now known as the Unsinkable Molly Brown played a role in saving many lives. We salute her passionate spirit, her zest for adventure and her sense of style. The men and women of The Unsinkable Krewe of Molly Brown enjoy year-round cultural events, parade season, and volunteer our time to our Foundation's charitable events. Through our Foundation, The Unsinkable Molly Brown Foundation, the Krewe supports art education programs within Hillsborough County public schools. This non-profit, tax-exempt charitable foundation, in partnership with The Hillsborough County Arts Education Development Fund, finances three grant programs and a University of South Florida scholarship fund. Our Krewe parade float depicts the sinking Titanic ship complete with the four smokestacks, two masts and lifeboats on each side of the float. Chosen the Grand Champion Float Entry during the 2004 Centennial Gasparilla celebration and again in 2007, the "Molly" float is truly magnificent. Krewe members parade in costumes reminiscent of those seen in the movie "Titanic". Some members wear day attire while others choose evening wear. And everyone wears a hat, the Krewe's signature accessory!
